Emily Irene VanCamp originally wanted to be professional dancer. But, while spending time with her sister Katie in The Ladies Room movie set, Emily was captivated by acting. While taking classes in acting and directing, she was also offered the roles of guest stars on TV series. Some of the TV series that she appeared in were Do You scared of Dark? Radio Active. VanCamp had a big breakthrough in his career after getting a role on Glory Days, the WB Mystery Horror show. It was cancelled after nine episodes, despite glowing reviews and low ratings. In reality, she was swift to secure a new role Amy Abbott on Everwood. This role brought her nominations for a Young Artist Award and four Teen Choice Awards.
